If you knew why Ghanaian actor and Beasts of No Nations start Abraham Attah arrived at the 88th annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles dressed in a black tuxedo and velvet TOMS, you’d probably love him the more.

According to Abraham Attah who spoke to E! correspondent Ryan Seacrest, the shoe brand will donate 10,000 pairs of shoes to the people of Ghana.

The for-profit shoe brand donates a pair of shoes to children in need for every pair sold.

Abraham Atta was spotted wearing lace-up TOMS at the Independent Spirit Awards where he won Best Actor in Lead Role for the movie, Beasts of No Nations.

Besides the charitable statement, comfortable footwear has been big in the fashion community for the last few years. Both Attah’s style and message are truly on point.
