Veteran actor Kofi Middleton Mends reported dead

Eight (8) months into 2016 and the Ghanaian showbiz industry has lost more than anyone ever thought.

Reliable information available to indicates that veteran Ghanaian actor Kofi Middleton Mends well-known for his catch phrase, “Sarah, my socks” and  television commercial for Key Soap is dead.

According to the first daughter Araba Botchwey who confirmed the news, the dad died of kidney failure.

She stated that her late dad had been battling kidney disease for some time now and was on dialysis when he passed away.

The accomplished actor, is also known for his role in Grey Dawn (2015) and No Tears for Ananse(1968).

The late Kofi Middleton Mends was a lecturer at the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI) and the University of Ghana. He stopped lecturing about two years ago.

He died at age 77.
