Sarkodie crowned entertainer of the year at first ever EMY Awards

Sarkodie proved his superiority over all others as he beat competition from Shatta Wale, E.L, Kalybos, Adjetey Anang and Chief Moomen to win entertainer of the year at the first ever organized Exclusive Men of the Year (EMY) Award held at the State Banquet Hall on Saturday, June 18, 2016.

With vote percentages of 60 from the general public and 40 from the Faculty of the awards, Sarkodie managed to scoop home the Entertainer of the Year.

The award was picked on his behalf by his Disc Jockey, DJ Mensa who thanked the organisers and dedicated the award to Sarkodie’s new born daughter Titi on his behalf.




EMY Awards, an initiative of the Exclusive Men Magazine was organized by Carbon AV and hosted by Naa Ashorkor and Nathaniel Attoh with performances from singer Yaa Yaa and saxophonist, Steve Bedi.
