Winner of the hip hop song of the year award at the recently held Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Pappy Kojo, has explained why he unfollowed almost everyone on social networking site Twitter.

Speaking to Vanessa Gyan on Y-ired on Y107.9FM, the Realer No hit maker explained his action was influenced by an advice from his publicist who believed following everyone back was not good for him as a new and budding artist.

“I’m very emotional and often got hurt at some of the bad mouths and hate messages that I constantly received from some of the people on Twitter.”

According to the rapper, his publicist therefore advised him to follow few accounts that were really relevant to him so he doesn’t miss important tweets on his time line.

“I was advised the more I follow a lot of people, the more I will miss important tweets tweets from other inspirational people hence the reason for my action”

The rapper however admits he has received several backlash from fans who ask him to follow back.

Since bursting unto mainstream music in Ghana, Pappy Kojo has recorded with several artists including Sarkodie, Joey B, E.L and many others.
