Veteran sports presenter and General Manager of Kumasi based Sikka FM, Otuo-Acheampong Sometymer, has disclosed no single individual at the radio station is bigger than the station hence some radical decisions that seem not to sit so well with the listening public.
In a short but powerful post of Facebook, the presenter who feels stabbed in the back by people he vouched for wrote;
“Life and it’s uncertainties are very inextricable. Sometimes I ask whether I’m destined to be rewarded by people I toil to help in the manner they always do.”
This comes at the back of recent allegations that Sometymer, as he is affectionately called, looks down on his colleagues by playing the boss card and undermining the intellect of his colleagues on the Sikka FM sports show.
A case at hand is described by fans as how he treated former Sunsum FM presenter Kojo Super popularly known as Obondede on his radio show on Wednesday August 13 2015.
Read some comments on Facebook.
The revered sports presenter who will not fall for just hyped personalities stated he would never compromise on his trade secret which is to subject accusers to backing their claims with enough evidence. He however admits he is human and may have some shortcomings.
“After close to two decades that I have been in the broadcasting industry, I have learned not to believe the hype, and rather work hard to be fair to all manner of people. As far as I remain human, obviously my shortcomings will pop up once a while but my trade secret shall never be compromised….anybody alleging on my show will be subjected to strict referencing standards.”
The presenter has therefore asked listeners of Sikka FM to believe in the project the media outfit is undertaking to bring sanity to a profession that has been plagued by hype and not worth.
He believes no single individual is bigger than the station and would not hesitate to axe anyone who behaves as such.
“No single individual is bigger than Sikka FM..not the owner, not the general manager or anybody.”
Kojo Super aka Obondede has somehow announced his resignation from the station.
