The wait is finally over. After being delayed several times, Lil Wayne‘s “Free Weezy Album” finally arrived on Independence Day as promised. The rapper made the project available exclusively through Tidal, which he now co-owns.
“FWA” boasts 15 new tracks including lead single “Glory”, which Weezy dropped a few weeks ago also via Tidal, and collaborations with Wiz Khalifa, Young Jeezy, Cory Gunz, Junior Reid and more. Also involved in the album were Cool & Dre, Infamous and Kane Beatz.
Wayne put out his new record while he’s still embroiled in a war with Cash Money, which kept pushing back his “Tha Carter V“. The album that everyone has heard about for more than a year now was originally planned to be released late last year. It still has no new release date.
Recently, Tunechi debuted a new song called “Nothing But Trouble“. Featuring guest vocals from Charlie Puth, it’s set to be included on the soundtrack of “808”, an upcoming documentary about the Roland TR808 drum machine.
