Ghanaian Broadcaster Blakk Rasta Reprimanded by Parliament For Marijuana Comment

Blakk Rasta

Radio broadcaster and former staff of Accra based Hitz FM, Blakk Rasta has been pardoned by the Ghanaian parliament for his earlier comment that suggested that 80% of parliamentarians smoked marijuana.

The decision was arrived at today July 24 2015 after the musician apologized once again after he was called to the bar of parliament upon a recommendation by the Privileges Committee.

As part of his punishment, the once vociferous presenter was made to stand throughout the proceedings in the house after which he was asked to go and sin no more since his sins had been forgiven.

The Speaker of Parliament Edward Doe Adjaho also warned him to be careful since Parliament shall be watching him. Weeks ago, the radio presenter in an interview disclosed about 80% of the members of the Ghanaian smoked marijuana, an accusation he could not substantiate upon request to appear before the Privileges Committee.

The musician later apologized and disclosed his utterance was based on the heat of the moment.

The musician and broadcaster has since resigned from his job as presenter with Hitz FM.
