Multiple award winning Ghanaian actor who rose from the streets of Ashaiman to the grand stage of the 88th Academy Awards (Oscars) for his lead role in the Netflix produced movie Beasts of No Nations, Abraham Attah Nii has broken his silence on the recent outrage on social media over his speech at the Film Independent Spirit Awards.
According to the child actor who is set to arrive in Ghana soon, he did not pen down any speech for the night since he never thought he would win the award. He was therefore surprised to be declared the winner.

l know that some of the radio presenters in Ghana are saying I gave a bad speech at the independent spirit awards. They don’t know what happen to me. I thought was not going to win so I decided not to write any speech down. I was so surprise when she mention my name. I didn’t know what to say when I went up there.
On Monday February 29 2016, radio personalities Lexis Bill, Jay Foley and MzGee were taken to the gutters for allegedly making ‘mockery’ of Abraham Attah’s acceptance speech at the Film Independent Spirit Awards where he won Best Male Actor in Lead Role.
The three have however apologized stating they did not intend to make fun of the actor.
