Delegates disappoint Appietus as they re-elect Obour as President of MUSIGA

If cue should be taken from elections in Ghana in general, one lesson that must never be overlooked is Sir John’s experience with delegates. Never trust delegates!!

Well, Ghanaian music producer Appiah Dankwah aka Appietus had the shock of his life as he lost the run for the presidency of the Musicians Union of Ghana to incumbent Bice Osei Kuffour otherwise known as Obour.

In a contest that seemed a ‘cool chop’, Obour pulled 88 votes to beat his contenders Gyedu Blay Ambulley and Appiah Dankwa (Appietus) who polled 22 and 18 votes respectively.

The elections were held in the Eastern Regional capital, Koforidua on Saturday where delegates had converged to elect executives to steer the affairs of the union for the next four years.

In an interview, Appietus expressed his disappointment in the delegates saying;

“I gave them my vision but they decided to give their mandate to Obour..”
