The Black Satellites of Ghana beat their Group B mates Panama in the ongoing FIFA U20 World Cup being held in New Zealand to advance to the next stage of the competition.
Despite a domineering and impressive game, the Black Stars could not find the back of the net until the 82nd minute when substitute Emmanuel Boateng put smiles on the faces of Ghanaians.
Panama’s Escobar however missed a great opportunity to put him team back on level pegging when he missed a penalty on the 90th minute after a player had been fouled.
Ghana advances to the next stage on 7 points.
Austria on 5 points places second in the group and also qualifies.
