I prefer to channel my energy into my stage performances – Stonebwoy Burniton

Unlike many artists who would run loud over at the least success, Ghanaian dancehall act and reigning artist of the year, Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy believes channelling his energy into his stage craft and performances than anything else has been worth it.

Known off stage as a very cool, calm and collected young man, Stonebwoy’s stage appearance makes you wonder if indeed he is that same young man you see on any day.

Speaking to NY DJ on Ryse N Shyne on YFM in Kumasi, the Baafira hit maker who is most often described by many respected industry players as “humble” disclosed he admits that his stage performances are in sharp contrast with his demeanour but he prefers it that way.

Answering a question as to how he balances been a calm person off stage and a wild one on stage, the artist said;

“Hahahaha… I know they are two sharp contrasting characters but I prefer it that way since living the life I portray on stay will mean living like a very rowdy person which I am not. I love it when I give my people the best performance..”

Stonebwoy over the weekend held one of the biggest musical concerts in Tema to thank his numerous fans for their continuous support. He later released a new single “Shekeena” featuring Paedae and Mugeez (r2Bees) which has already made it into the play list of many radio stations.

He is set to release his début album Necessary Evil in a few weeks.
